Escape Events – Ghost of the Gallows
The Ghost of the Gallows event is an interactive puzzle adventure that helps you uncover the path to the gallows. Exclusive to Lancaster, this interactive trail around the city will help you learn some of Lancaster’s history as well as getting the know the city better. Lancaster is famous for witchcraft and the Lancashire Witch Trials, in this puzzle adventure, follow Alice, an innocent executed for witchcraft around the city and help her discover its gory and violent history. Are you able to solve the puzzles to free Alice from purgatory? or will you condemn her to haunt the streets of Lancaster forever?
Whether you go alone or with your mates, this is a great opportunity to leave your Lancaster student home, and explore the charming, cobbled streets of the city centre in the lovely spring weather. Black Axe Throwing
Located at Kanteena, Black Axe Throwing is the perfect stress reliever and a great day out. What a way to take out all your stress and worries by slinging an axe with all your might at the huge target board! The fully trained staff are with you every step of the way, so even if you’re a complete novice at axe throwing, the safety team will be working with you to ensure there’s no possible way that you or anyone else can get hurt, whilst making sure you’re having fun.

Highest Point Festival
Highest Point festival has been one of the most popular events in Lancaster for the last few years! Taking place the weekend beginning 11th May, Highest Point fest is sure to be a hit and we are certain there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Taking place at Williamson Park, located at the top of Lancaster, it’s only a short journey for our Lancaster University students living in off-campus accommodation in the town centre.
Highest Point is loved by both locals and tourists with people from all over the country traveling to Lancaster for the event! Williamson Park is the perfect backdrop for the festival as the large 54-acre space hosts beautiful views of the local area. The line up for 2023 is sure to fit everybody’s different musical needs, including headliners such as Anne-Marie, Bastille and the astonishing Hacienda Classical.
